Year 6 - Volcanoes
In Year 6, as part of our enrichment learning, we spent a day learning about volcanoes. As part of the day, all of Year 6 received a session with 'Active Outdoor Learning', where Mr Hall spoke to the children about volcanoes and his experiences from his extensive travel across the world. After receiving the presentation, the pupils created their own volcanoes and then looked at the features of a volcano. Finally, they created a fact file on an aspect of a volcano that they had found interesting during the day. Some groups chose to look at one volcano in particular while other groups chose to look at key vocabulary or the types of volcanoes - active, dormant and extinct. All pupils had an enjoyable day!
