Year 6 Lockdown Learning June 2020

Welcome to the Hamstead Junior School Home Learning Page. We hope that the tasks set are useful in supporting remote learning.

Parents and children may also wish to visit the Picture News pages to view activities that can be tackled by children in all year groups.

TRANSITION NOTE TO PARENTS AND PUPILS

Below is the Sandwell Transition work that Year 6 pupils are expected to complete ready for their Secondary Schools. The work provides the schools with an insight into the pupil and acts as a starting point for follow-up work in September.

The booklet does not need to be completed in one go. We will be setting different activities from this booklet over the coming weeks. Please complete any challenges set, as Secondary schools will be expecting to view this work. Work may need to be taken with the pupil in September.

Good morning Year 6. As you enter your last week with us, this week's activities will be slightly different. We are asking you to complete a mini project by thinking about designing your own school. A school is made up of many different things and each day you can focus on a different aspect. There are a series of activities for you to complete and have some fun with. We hope you enjoy it!

Week 6

This week's work will mainly focus on spending time reflecting on your years at Hamstead Junior School. It will be a chance to think about some of the memories you will hopefully take with you and also a chance to look forward to the future! We will also be setting a Virtual Sports Day for you all to take part in.
