Autumn 2

This term, as a school we have studied a Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.  Year 4 have written a Diary as the miserable Scrooge.  We have also made stamps in the style of William Morris to create our own repeating pattern for your Christmas cards.

We were visited by Sue Perks a story teller, who inspired us to write a newspaper report after we had investigated a dramatic murder in a zoo.

Thank you to everyone who attended the drumming concert.  We have had lots of fun!

World Book Day!
Year 4 have researched the author Cressida Cowell. They have enjoyed making their own dragons! They have also written a fantastic set of instructions on 'How to Catch a Dragon' of their own. The Year 4 children enjoyed dressing up and had a great day!
We had fun learning about Vaisakhi!

We had a bhangra worskshop. It was fun, lively and energetic. Did you know that the different dance moves have different meanings and they are related to the harvest?

We also learned about the Sikh culture and how they celebrate the festival of Vaisakhi. It was a great experience.

We have enjoyed Health Week because...

- We had sports day

- We made fruit pizzas

- We learned about checking the sugar content in our food

- We played playground games

- We looked at golf related maths

Literary Week

We have had so much fun!

We completed a whole school story and designed a new book cover and blurb.

The class debates and presenting our cases to the judge for our villain trial were both exciting. Completing our art work was enjoyable and fantastic. We really had a fantastic week and realised just how much fun reading can be!
