Year 6 Sandwell Induction Days

Dear Parents and Carers

 

Induction Days 2021

 

It is with a very heavy heart that I announce: Induction days this year will no longer take place face to face.
Due to several factors around COVID-19 and the change to the government roadmap, all secondary schools in Sandwell have taken to joint decision to cancel the planned two-day Induction event, which sees your children invited to spend the time in the secondary school that they are due to start in September 2021.
However, Transition is by no means cancelled. The schools are currently working hard to put together a virtual plan. All of which will be shared with Sandwell primary schools and of course on their own websites and social networking pages. If you do not already follow these pages can I suggest that you start to keep an eye on them as there will be regular updates regarding Transition 2021.
To say this is disappointing is an understatement but all things considered we do feel that this is for the best interest of ensuring that we keep our communities safe.
