Timely reminders of COVID procedures
Useful Information. Symptoms of Coronavirus:
Welcome back to the second half of the Autumn term.
School continues to closely follow all guidelines to prevent the spread of Coronavirus and asks that all parents support us in order that the health and well being of our community is maintained. The national lockdown scheduled for this Thursday is aimed at reducing the infection rate, and if schools are to remain fully open the measures taken in school, and by all members of the school community to aid in this battle against the virus must be strictly adhered to.
Parents are reminded that as we enter a time of year when colds/seasonal viruses increase the following are symptoms of the Coronavirus:
A high temperature;
a new continuous cough (coughing a lot for more than an hour) ;
a loss or change to sense of smell or taste.
However it has also been found that children may display a different range of symptoms to adults such as fatigue, headache, fever, sore throat and loss of appetite. If your child has any of the main symptoms please get a test to check.
The whole household then remains in, preventing any risk of spreading the virus, until you have a result.
If the test is positive please inform school immediately.
If your child has been in contact with children or staff in school, guidelines dictate that this group is sent home and must isolate for 14 days starting at the date they last had contact with the infected child. Remote learning will be set for this bubble of children and we thank parents for their support in ensuring this work is completed. All members of the household must isolate if there is a positive test result.
If your child is exposed to anyone tested positive outside of school please inform school as they must not have contact with children in school and should isolate at home for 14 days.
We have put systems in place at school to reduce risk to all children, staff and parents. Thank you for supporting the measures put in place.
