A letter to parents and carers from Mr Bowen.
December 4th 2020
Dear parents and carers,
It has been my great pleasure to have spent almost the entirety of my teaching career at Hamstead Junior School. Teaching at HJS from January 1989 to July 2002, and then returning as Head Teacher in April 2005, I have a deep appreciation of how special our School has been, remains and will continue to be in the years ahead.
However, this letter is to inform you that I will be leaving as Head Teacher at the end of this term after deciding to take early retirement.
I leave behind a very good school, and know that with your continued support, it will continue to develop and thrive. Mr Fowler will be acting Head Teacher when School re-opens in January. He has been an outstanding Deputy and is very well equipped to excel in this new position.
I would like to thank all children, parents, staff and governors, both past and present for their support and work during my time here. I will leave with a wealth of memories.
With grateful thanks,
Mr T. Bowen
Hamstead Junior School.
