Autumn Term 1
We have had a very exciting first half term in year 4! We have met the author Billy Bob Buttons, we have made new friends during our Well Being Day, we have been on lots of mini beast hunts for our maths lessons, we have visited the RSPB centre in Sandwell Valley as part of our Science topic, we have created and performed a Harvests Play and we have collected Harvest Donations for the Great Barr food bank. Here are some photos . . .
Welcome to Year 4
Mrs Bartholomew and Mr Baines would like to welcome you back after the summer holidays. We hope you had a lovely break and are refreshed and ready for the new term. We have lots of exciting topics planned and can't wait to get started. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to pop in and speak to us at the end of school.
Thank You for your continued support
Mrs Bartholomew, Mr Baines, Mr Clarke
Welcome To Year 4!
We hope that you all had a fantastic summer and that you are all refreshed from the long break and ready to engage in the exciting activities that we have planned for you!
Please remember a named water bottle. If you are bringing a pencil case, please ensure that everything is named, as contents can get muddled!

Year 4 Autumn 1 spelling lists
We had a great day! After our fantastic assembly, we tried lots of different food. We created our own rangoli patterns using coloured rice.
Thank you to everyone for helping us to raise money for Children in Need. Well done Year 4!
We had a bhangra worskshop. It was fun, lively and energetic. Did you know that the different dance moves have different meanings and they are related to the harvest?
We also learned about the Sikh culture and how they celebrate the festival of Vaisakhi. It was a great experience.
We have enjoyed Health Week because...
- We had sports day
- We made fruit pizzas
- We learned about checking the sugar content in our food
- We played playground games
- We looked at golf related maths

We have had so much fun!
We completed a whole school story and designed a new book cover and blurb.
The class debates and presenting our cases to the judge for our villain trial were both exciting. Completing our art work was enjoyable and fantastic. We really had a fantastic week and realised just how much fun reading can be!
